Halifax Parks & Recreation (Shubie Park)

Shubie Park is one of the most famous and well-loved parks in Halifax, NS. Named after the historic Shubenacadie Canal which runs through it, the 40 acre park is located between Lake Micmac and Lake Charles, with a beach front at both lakes. While at the park, visitors can see working scale models of canal lock mechanisms along with various displays about the history of the canal at the Fairbanks Centre interpretive facility.

Already a favourite spot for jogging, biking and dog walking, Shubie Park is also home to Outdoor-Fit’s Apollo Multigym. The Apollo is the most feature-packed outdoor fitness equipment on the market, with 16 different exercises in a single tamper-proof, durable, and weatherproof package.
