LaPorte County Parks

LaPorte County is in northern Indiana on the border of Michigan. In fact, the largest city in the county is Michigan City. LaPorte means ‘the door’ or ‘the port’ in French, and was named by French explorers, who used LaPorte as a gateway from the Great Lakes to lands further west.

The Parks and Rec department of LaPorte has installed the Apollo Multigym to give their community access to outdoor fitness equipment. 5 people can use the Apollo simultaneously for 16 different exercises, including chin ups, back extensions, calf raises, and knee raises.
