The Los Angeles Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit that was created to support the Los Angeles City Department of Parks and Recreation. Since its inception in 2008, the LA Parks Foundation has raised over $45 million to support LA city park projects and programs. They obtain private funding through donations and fundraising to enhance current outdoor spaces across the city.
Outdoor-Fit x Los Angeles Parks Foundation
The LA Parks Foundation received a private donation for new outdoor fitness equipment and chose Outdoor-Fit to supply it. Robert Burns Park was the location of choice, only a few miles south of Hollywood. The three units are all painted in light green and include the LA Parks Foundation logo on the instructional placards. As our first park project in Los Angeles, we were pleased they chose the Apollo Multigym, two Everest Cardio Climbers, and made it an ASTM (F3101-21a) compliant site with safety surfacing and proper spacing. Hats off to our exclusive dealer, Pacific Park and Play, for their fantastic site prep and installation work!
Project Goals
- Create a super durable outdoor gym that wouldn’t require significant upkeep and maintenance.
- Ensure that the site meets ASTM safety requirements.
- Provide equipment that would benefit the entire community, from young adults to seniors.
When we initially decided to go with your equipment, it was primarily due to the quality and durability of that your products offered. The robust construction and weather-resistant materials were key factors that convinced us to choose your equipment. We were confident that it could withstand the rigors of outdoor use, ensuring a long lifespan for the fitness equipment. Additionally, the variety of exercise options your equipment provided was a significant selling point. It allowed us to offer a well-rounded fitness experience, catering to users with diverse fitness levels and goals. The clear instructions and user-friendly design made it accessible to a wide range of individuals, from beginners to experienced fitness enthusiasts.
Now that the equipment is installed and has been in use for some time, I am pleased to report that the community's response has been overwhelmingly positive. The fitness space has become a hub for people of all ages and fitness levels. Families, seniors, and fitness enthusiasts alike have found the equipment to be not only functional, but also enjoyable to use. We've received numerous compliments on the quality, and it's fostered a sense of community in the park.
