STEP UP

The Step-Up exercise is a straightforward yet highly effective body resistance exercise that targets multiple muscle groups in the lower body. With our plyo box station available on our APOLLO or HELIOS multigyms, you can enjoy the benefits of this versatile exercise.

To perform the Step Up, stand in front of the plyo platform. Step up onto the platform with one leg, ensuring that your entire foot is firmly placed on the surface. As you do so, bring the other leg up, straightening both legs in the process.

Step back down from the platform and repeat the movement on the opposite side. This completes one repetition. Continue the exercise, alternating legs with each step up, for as many repetitions as possible.

Step ups primarily target the quadriceps, which are the muscles at the front of your thighs, as well as the hamstrings and gluteal muscles in your buttocks. By engaging these major muscle groups, step ups provide a comprehensive lower body conditioning workout.

Moreover, step ups are a functional exercise that mimics everyday movements like climbing stairs or stepping onto curbs, making them beneficial for improving your overall mobility and stability.

By performing step ups on our plyo box station, you can add an element of challenge and intensity to your workout. The plyo platform introduces an element of height, requiring your leg muscles to exert more effort to lift your body weight.

In conclusion, the Step-Up exercise is a versatile and effective way to work your lower body muscles, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteals. By incorporating this exercise into your workout routine on our plyo box station, you can elevate your fitness level and experience the benefits of functional strength and mobility.
